Description:
This course of instruction is the only presentation of Interview and Interrogation in which the following material is presented to the participants: 1) The use of personality typology to determine theme building and to assist in overcoming barriers to successful rapport building. 2) Exploration of human defense mechanisms that protect the subconscious mind and make the gathering of information in the interview and interrogation process more difficult. Through the examination of these barriers the participants are taught to recognize their significance and given steps to minimize their influence during interaction with the individual.3) A 10-step “Systematic Interview” process is outlined for the participants and practical exercises emphasize the usefulness in gathering information from victims/witnesses by mirroring the manner in which the subconscious mind stores and retrieves significant events. 4) This course uses the formulation of questions and how to best use questioning approaches is as a part of in the information gathering process. 5) The eye accessing cues and Conjugate Lateral Eye Movement area of non-verbal communication is provided. 6) “Ethics and the ethical/legal application of the process” is emphasized.

Students who have not lived in California for at least one (1) year and (1) day prior to start of college semester or do not meet other college criteria may be considered “out-of-state” students, and subject to additional fees to the ones listed above. Cancellation/Refund Policy
Out of consideration for students on waiting lists, cancellations must be made no later than 30 days prior to the first day of class. For cancellation deadlines, please refer to the Fee Information tab on this flyer. There may be a minimum cancellation fee of $50 assessed for material expenses associated with cancellations. Substitutions or transfer of your reservations to another student is permitted upon approval.
Course Cancellation by South Bay
Each class has a minimum enrollment requirement. If the minimum enrollment is not reached for the course three weeks prior to the beginning of the class, the class may be cancelled and any deposits/payments will be refunded in full (minus non-refundable processing fee).
