Course Information

Description

This is a classroom-based skills course designed to prepare the prospective fireline supervisor to undertake safe and effective fire management operations. It is the second course in a series that collectively serves to develop fire behavior prediction knowledge and skills. Fire environment differences are discussed as necessary; instructor should stress local conditions.

S-190, Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior

Fee Information
$295.00 No refund will be given if the student does not attend and/or cancels 13 (or less) calendar days prior to the start of the class. Cancellations after this period must be e-mailed to firereservations@theacademy.ca.gov. Students will be required to register with Hartnell Community College for the Spring Term. Registration forms will be provided to the student and the student will not be required to register online. Registration forms will be collected on the first day of the class.
