Description
This one-time workshop brings together instructor development facilitators from throughout California to identify best practices and approaches in presenting the Academy Instructor Certification Course (AICC) across the State of California.
Time will be spent:
- Evaluating current approaches to AICC presentations
- Identifying effective strategies to present AICC content and process
- Exploring the inter-connectivity of the existing course design
- Demonstrating and evaluating effective facilitation skills
Course delivery will occur via a combination of facilitated discussion, learning activities, and a final evaluative and reflective teach-back process that will allow students to envision how their own AICC courses may be most effectively presented.

Although it is designed primarily for AICC facilitators, instructors for other development-oriented POST courses such as, ICII, SLI, the POST Management Course, and Command College may attend. This course is not intended for persons not currently instructing in some instructor-development capacity.
Requirements:
Preference is given to primary Regular Basic Academy or agency AICC Instructors.
