Description

This course fulfills the requirements of 40600 CVC. This course will provide the student with instruction in the area of traffic accident investigation at the basic level. The goals of the course are to develop an understanding of what information should be collected and documented in vehicle accidents. They will also develop the skills to identify, articulate and record the primary collision factors and other associated factors.

Designed For

This course is designed for sworn public safety personnel with traffic collision investigative responsibilities.

Prerequisites/Requirements: Basic Police Academy Certificate or equivalent, DOJ clearance, proof of medical and vehicle insurance, and valid CDL.

Certification

POST Plan IV

Certificate awarded upon completion.

All classes require full payment or a designated deposit at time of reservation. We accept Visa and MasterCard (a transaction fee of 2% will apply), cash, money order and cashier's check (made payable to SBRPSTC). Agency billing may also be arranged. Financial aid and VA benefits may be available. All fees subject to change.
